Workshop: Introduction to GENESIS 3

The aim of this course is to give an introduction to the new GENESIS 3 simulation environment. There will be a varied programme of technical lectures, lectures on computational modeling and hands-on tutorials.

European NEURON Course at IST Austria

This 5-day-course is the European counterpart of the intensive course held yearly in San Diego by the developers of NEURON (T. Carnevale and M. Hines). The aim of this course is to learn about computational strategies and modeling methods based on the NEURON simulation environment.

There will also be a two-day course on neuroinformatics, organized just before the INCF Congress in Munich on September 10-12, 2012. I strongly recommend advanced MSc and PhD students to apply! More information will follow soon.

Could computers someday interact directly with the human brain? This is the motto of the HIVE project. The goal of the workshop is to present research toward developing a new generation of powerful and controllable non-invasive brain stimulation technologies. Contributions must be of a high scientific level, and typically would describe, attempt to understand, or engineer brain stimulation phenomena as well as clinical applications.

We are pleased to invite participants to submit abstracts (within 300 words) for consideration in the final program and to submit optional papers for consideration for publication in IFMBE Proceedings. Abstracts of the World Congress will be published on CD after a simplified review process. Full paper contributions, accepted after peer review, will be published as IFMBE Proceedings on CD and on the Internet. The IFMBE Proceedings are published by Springer Verlag and are cited in EI, Scopus, WoS Proceedings (ISTP, etc.), Springerlink, and Google Scholar etc..
